Help us reach $120K by year end.
We have a clear goal. Reach $120,000 in annual support by December 31, 2026 so we can hold Sacred Saturdays free, fund scholarships for cohorts and pilgrimages, and keep spiritual direction on a sliding scale.
Why monthly partners matter most
One time gifts help. Monthly partners change everything. They're how we plan, hire, scholarship, and grow. Recurring giving turns a hopeful budget into a real one, and lets us say yes to people who need this work without checking the bank balance first.
How we make this accessible
The Deep Roots Collective offers three kinds of gatherings, and each is funded a little differently. Donors keep all three accessible.
Sacred Saturdays are free. Anyone shows up. No payment expected. Funded entirely through donor support and pending grants.
Spiritual direction operates on a sliding scale of $60 to $120 per session. Each participant gives what they can within that range. Donor gifts cover sessions offered below the floor or at no cost when needed.
Cohorts ($225) and pilgrimages ($3,200 plus airfare) have real costs. Most participants pay in full. For those who can't, donor-funded scholarships cover seats in cohorts and partial costs on pilgrimages.
Without donors, the first two would not exist. The third would be available only to those who can afford it.
Where your donation goes
$120,000 is what it takes to fund this work for a full year. Here's how those dollars are allocated.
Salaries
Compensation for Scott and Jenny, who are stepping into The Deep Roots Collective full time. Set within reasonable guidelines required by our fiscal sponsor, Eloheh.
Program delivery
The cohorts, pilgrimages, gatherings, and one on one spiritual direction Scott and Jenny lead. Includes preparation, materials, and the ongoing mentorship that shapes the work.
Programs and community building
Materials for Sacred Saturdays, honoraria for elder teachers like Randy Woodley, website and communications, retreat spaces, and resources for participants.
Operations and sustainability
Eloheh's 10% fiscal sponsorship fee, insurance, administrative costs, and the infrastructure that keeps us running so we can serve people for years to come.
For a service nonprofit like ours, salaries are the program. Scott and Jenny's time is the spiritual direction. Their presence is the gathering. We've broken out the line items so you can see exactly where your gift lands.
Through December 2026, Scott and Jenny are supported by severance from their prior roles. Beginning in 2027, monthly partners will be the primary source of their compensation. Scott also serves as a chaplain to incarcerated youth and Jenny picks up choreography and youth theatre work, both of which help bridge the gap as TDRC grows.
Every gift, whether $25 or $2,500, matters. You're not just funding programs. You're making it possible for two people to dedicate their lives to this work.
